Press2Flash beta 3
Posted on 21. Mar, 2010 by erwan in Archives, Changelog
Thanks to some feedbacks and more especialy from Jeff, I made a some changes and released a new version of Press2Flash.
The SVN structure has been reorganized to simplify the creation of new projects. I wanted to keep it simple, but apparently that was not the case!
The Flash source code is now located in the Press2Flash theme directory : wp-content\themes\press2flash\flash. The Press2Flash plugin is also in the directory where it should have been : wp-content\plugins\press2flash.
From now, you have access to too new static variables PLUGIN_DIRECTORY and TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY in the WPConfig.as to help you dealing with loading external assets.
I updated the tutorial (which you can also find in his full version in the repository) to show you how to use and instanciate these 2 new variables.
I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I wrote a first tutorial to demonstrate how to display the content of the default WordPress post in your Flash app : Hello-world tutorial
This example is very simple and should help you anderstanding how Press2Flash works.

- Improved feedback when saving an option in the WordPress plugin
- request.php returned an error when the rating plugin was not installed (documentation and tutorial are coming soon)
- Cleaned up the WordPress theme
- Added a Utils Class in the AS 3.0 framework
- SWFAddress is now directly included in the package to make things easier
